MEPCO Complaint — How to Register & Track One

Wrong bill, dead meter, low voltage or no supply at all — MEPCO has official channels that give you a complaint number you can track. Use them in this order.

⚠️ Emergency first: fallen or sparking wires, a burning meter or any electric hazard is not a routine complaint — keep people away from it and call 118 immediately.

Option 1 — CCMS online complaint portal

The power sector's central complaint system, CCMS (Customer Complaint Management System) at ccms.pitc.com.pk, is the same system linked from MEPCO's own website. A CCMS complaint is logged centrally, so it cannot quietly disappear at a local office.

  1. Open ccms.pitc.com.pk and register or sign in with your mobile number.
  2. Choose New Complaint and select MEPCO as your company.
  3. Enter your 14-digit reference number — the portal pulls up your connection details.
  4. Pick the complaint category (billing, metering, supply failure, voltage, new connection delay and similar) and describe the problem in simple words: what is wrong, and since when.
  5. Submit and note the complaint/tracking number you are given.
  6. Use that number on the same portal to track the status until the complaint is marked resolved.

Option 2 — Helplines

ChannelNumber / addressBest for
Helpline118Supply failures, hazards, urgent issues (landline/short code)

Customer care0319-9757789MEPCO customer care, as listed on mepco.com.pk

Ask the agent for the complaint reference and write it down with the date and time of your call.

Option 3 — MEPCO SMART app & the local office

The official MEPCO SMART app includes a complaint feature tied to your account — convenient for supply and billing issues, with status visible in the app. For complicated matters (a disputed bill, a meter you believe is faulty, a payment that never landed), a visit to your sub-division office with your documents is often fastest; take your CNIC, the bill in question and any payment receipts, and always collect a stamped receiving or diary number for anything you submit in writing.

Information to keep ready

  • Reference number (and consumer ID) — from any bill; see the guide if you cannot find it.
  • Your name, mobile number and full address as printed on the bill.
  • A short description: what is wrong, since when, and how often it happens.
  • For billing disputes: the bill itself, your meter's current reading (a dated photo helps), and previous bills for comparison.
  • For payment disputes: the transaction ID and receipt from your bank or wallet app.

If the complaint is not resolved

Give the first complaint a reasonable working time and follow its tracking status. If it is closed without a fix, or ignored, escalate in writing: first to the MEPCO circle office above your sub-division, and then through NEPRA's consumer complaint channels (via nepra.org.pk), quoting your CCMS complaint number and the history. A paper trail — complaint numbers, dates and receipts — is what makes an escalation succeed.
