In one sentence: this website is built so that your bill numbers never reach us at all. The details below explain exactly how.
Bill numbers are never stored on this site
When you use the bill checker, your reference number or consumer ID is not sent to, processed by, or stored on this website's servers. Your own browser submits the number directly to the official PITC bill page (bill.pitc.com.pk), which displays your bill in a new tab. We have no database of bill numbers, no user accounts and no way to see what you checked. Once your browser is talking to PITC, PITC's own handling of the request is governed by PITC's terms, not ours.
The optional “save my number” feature
The checker offers a checkbox labelled “Save my number on this device”. If you tick it, the number is saved in your own browser's local storage, on your own device only, so the box is pre-filled next month. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. To remove it, untick the box and submit once, or clear this site's data in your browser settings — after that, nothing of the number remains anywhere.
The bill calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The units, load and other figures you type are used only to display your estimate on your screen; they are not sent to or stored on this website.
Standard server logs
Like almost every website, the hosting server may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and basic statistics. These logs contain nothing about your electricity account and are not used to identify individual bill holders.
Cookies and local storage
This site itself sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts. It uses your browser's local storage for two things only: the bill number you optionally ask the checker to remember, and your cookie-consent choice. Both stay on your own device. Advertising cookies — Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. When ads are shown on this site, Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the checker, calculator and guides on this site will still work. Advertising cookies never contain your bill number or anything you type into the checker.
Links to official websites
Our pages link to official third-party services — the PITC bill page, the CCMS complaint portal, MEPCO's website and app stores. When you follow those links you leave this site, and those services' own privacy policies apply. We recommend entering sensitive information (passwords, PINs, OTPs) only on the official service you intended to use.
What we will never ask for
We will never ask for your CNIC, bank or wallet PIN, one-time passwords, or payment details — by phone, message, email or any form on this site. Treat any such request made in this site's name as fraud.
Changes to this policy
