MEPCO Bill Calculator 2026

Want to know what this month's bill will look like before it lands? Enter your units and connection details — the calculator applies the current NEPRA domestic tariff, fixed charges, FPA and taxes.

Estimate only: this calculator gives a close estimate, not the official amount. Your real bill can differ because of the monthly fuel price adjustment (FPA), quarterly adjustments, arrears, meter rent or government subsidies. Always confirm the payable amount on your actual bill.

Protected = your usage stayed at or below 200 units a month over the last six months. Most other homes are unprotected.

NEPRA sets a new FPA every month, so last month's rate is the closest guess. Leave it at 0 to see the bill without FPA.

Your estimated bill

Estimate based on the domestic tariff in S.R.O. 279(I)/2026. Excludes quarterly adjustments, arrears, meter rent and any subsidy. The amount on your official bill is final.

How the estimate is worked out

A MEPCO home bill is built from four parts: the energy charge for your units, a fixed charge based on your sanctioned load, the monthly fuel price adjustment, and taxes (18% GST, 1.5% electricity duty and a Rs 35 TV fee). The subtle part is how the units are priced:

  • Protected consumers (at or below 200 units a month for the last six months) get the benefit of the previous slab: the first 100 units are charged at Rs 10.54 and the rest up to 200 at Rs 13.01.
  • Unprotected consumers get no slab benefit under the current tariff: every unit is charged at the single rate of the slab the monthly total falls in. That is why 201 units cost so much more than 200.
  • Lifeline consumers (very small users) pay a flat low rate and no fixed charge.

Worked example — 150 units

HomeEnergy chargeHow
ProtectedRs 1,704.50100 × Rs 10.54 + 50 × Rs 13.01
UnprotectedRs 4,336.50All 150 units × Rs 28.91

Fixed charges, FPA and taxes are added on top of these energy charges. Read the full breakdown on our MEPCO tariff 2026 page.
